So yesterday I was just cravings bread #storiesofacarbaddict 👈 True life right there. I am stuck in the blizzard, and all I wanted was something soft, chocolately, carby, and warm..so bread it was! This is a Dark Cocoa Whole Wheat Banana Bread loaf, and it serves about 10 people. The macros are GREAT and I left out butter=less fat and calories. And the bread still came out as normal! There is dairy, however so this is not vegan.
Ingredients: 1) 2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
2) 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3) 2/3 cup granulated sugar (can substitute for trivia/stevia)
4) 2 large eggs
5) 3/4 cup nonfat milk
6) 1 tbsp baking powder
7) 3/4 tsp salt
8) 1/4 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
9) 2 large bananas, mashed
10 Optional chocolate chips
Directions:
•Preheat oven to 375°F
•Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl
•Mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl (not including banana)
•Combine wet and dry, then add in mashed banana. Slowly fold in chocolate chips
•Pour batter into a greased 9x5 bread loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes! Enjoy!
